I watched the season premiere of What Not to Wear – great show that helps people express their personal style while still dressing appropriately for a range of activities.
Following the show I asked Ted Gibson, hairstylist on What Not to Wear, if he had any tips for mature women. His answer?
He says to break the rules, which I interpret to mean that your hair should reflect your personality, align with your profession and lifestyle, and stay current. Most importantly, you should ensure your style enhances your face shape. Oblong faces should not have height at the crown, for example. Round faces should have an off-centre part and sweeping bangs. Consult your stylist for the best advice on how to look your best!
