It’s that time when we focus our attention on women’s cancers. The Pink movement started with breast cancer, and as progress has been made on this disease, many jurisdictions are turning their attention to all women’s cancers, including cervical and ovarian – which tend to have poorer outcomes because they are harder to diagnose than breast cancer. Watching Sunday football today, with all the teams in pink, made me realize that there is concerted energy being put toward combatting all cancers. Sadly, each of us knows someone who has been touched by cancer personally or in their families. This month, our thoughts go out to those who continue to do battle everyday.
