Ted Gibson salon delivers an awesome experience

I was in New York attending a conference at a time when it was hot and humid outside. Naturally, my hair quickly started to look like Monica Gellar’s on the episode of Friends when they go to the Caribbean.

Since I pretty much live on Twitter (I have two accounts: @stylepurpose50and @focuscom) I was lamenting this when famous stylist-to-the-stars @tedgibson tweeted something about the heat. I responded to him, asking what’s a girl to do?

I was surprised when he tweeted me right back, suggesting I visit his salon and gave me the name and number of the person I could book my appointment with. Not only that, he kindly offered me a lovely gift.

Oh my gosh. Seriously?!

I was a little stunned. He not only took the time to respond to me, but also helped me get into his salon on very short notice. I called the salon and was able to get an appointment the same day.

On arrival, I met the lovely and talented Sade who was so kind. After a brief consultation, I knew I could trust her completely, so I told her, do whatever you want.

The experience at Ted Gibson salon is one of complete care and pampering. Head and neck massage, gentle shampoo, complimentary hand massage…. Sigh….I could have stayed all day.

In the middle of my appointment, Ted came by to say hello. Such a lovely, warm, generous man. It was a great honour to meet him, especially since I was a loyal follower of the TLC show “What Not to Wear” where Ted worked his magic weekly on the contributors to the show.

At Ted Gibson salon, the welcome is warm and genuine, the staff are kind and attentive and the experience is relaxing and indulgent. All salons should strive for this.

Thank you for a great day!
