I was invited to a special fashion launch for Sears Canada today. Everyone knows Sears for Craftsman tools and Kenmore appliances (I have owned both at different times in my life). But fashion? Style? Trendy? Not so much.
So it was with great surprise that I watched the venerable Lynn Spence (of CityLine fame) pull some really chic outfits together using the spring line from Sears Canada.
If you haven’t been to Sears lately I encourage – no, urge – you to check out the spring offerings. So many on-trend pieces to mix and match, priced to thrill!
Lovely details, such as a Ted Baker inspired lining on a trench, or delicate crystals on a navy striped top. And, with sizes from 4-16, there’s a style – and size – for almost anyone. In this blue dress, which also comes in black, there are on-trend mesh panels that run down the side, creating a slimming effect while drawing in athleisure of-the-moment details. Beautiful shoes in florals and spring tones, lovely handbags to pair with your new outfits – you will be super stylish on a budget.
Some tips for shopping for spring:
- Try something you normally wouldn’t – you never know.
- Fit is everything, so try on a few sizes to choose the best fit for you.
- ‘Hanger appeal’ is overrated – how it fits to the body makes all the difference.
No matter where you shop, you must try garments on before making any decisions.
Now, go have fun!
