How to pack for a conference

We are fortunate to travel for work and leisure. Over the years, I’ve perfected the capsule collection to extend my wardrobe and meet all the social occasions on my trips. I’m happy to share some tips with you.

Pick a colour palette

One of the best things you can do is pick a mix-n-match colour palette that gives you the greatest number of outfit options.

Create a capsule collection

Here we’ve centered our collection on the yellow floral skirt, adding mix-n-match pieces to provide the greatest flexibility.

Polyvore pack for conference

If you’re attending a conference, hotel meeting rooms can be brutally cold despite the tropical temps outside. Here’s where a cardigan and the option of trousers really pay off.

Don’t forget to plan for your events. Pencil skirts can be dressed up or dressed down, depending on the occasion. Dressy shorts and stylish flat shoes can take you a lot of places, too, including when you sneak away to do some shopping.

Shoes!

This can be the hardest part. If you plan on doing a lot of walking, you should pack at least two pairs so you can change them up. Wearing the same shoes every day can hurt. If you have both the beach and a fancy dinner on the agenda, you’ll need flats and heels. The best, most appropriate, most versatile shoes are ballet flats. Dressy versions include embellishments that make them appropriate to wear on an evening out. Plus, they’re flat so easier to pack.

Accessories

In warm climates, a wrap is a versatile accessory that goes from day to night. It’s small and packs easily. Select a few pieces of jewelry to dress up your outfits. Although you can mix metals, it can be a difficult thing to master while on vacation with limited options. Better to pick a metal colour – silver, gold, rose gold – means that you’ll be easily choose pieces that work for you.
